Baked Salmon

My mama loves to cook and so does my older sister. I never did like cooking at all. I hated the kitchen part of the house. When I first got married, hubby and I would always eat out before going home. And on weekends, we would either have dinner at my house or his house. When I had my first child, I hire a nanny that can cook. Her job would be taking care of my child and cooking. Everything works out okay until we decided to come to Canada. With no help, nanny or parents to prepare for our food, I am forced to learn how to cook. I wouldn’t want my kids to grow up eating canned foods all the time.

Now, I can hold a small get together and be able to serve them with home cooked meals. One of my favorite dishes to serve is Baked Salmon. It’s very easy. First, marinate the salmon with powder garlic, pepper and lemon juice for about 10-15 minutes. Add chopped tomatoes and chopped onions. Wrapped it in foil and baked it and viola, you have yourself a yummy and healthy food.

Another version of this meal is to steam it with pepper, lemon juice, and a pinch of ginger. Make a sauce with extra virgin olive oil, pinch of ginger and green onions. Yummy!

Care to share your recipe on salmon? Do you think I will be able to qualify for this Cook off?
