Don't date because you are desperate.
Don't marry because you are miserable.
Don't have kids because you think your genes are superior.
Don't philander because you think you are irresistible.
Don't associate with people you can't trust.
Don't cheat. Don't lie. Don't pretend.
Don't dictate because you are smarter.
Don't demand because you are stronger.
Don't sleep around because you think you are old enough and know better.
Don't regress.
Don't live in the past. Time can't bring anything or anyone back.
Don't put your life on hold for possibly Mr./Mrs. Right.
Don't throw your life away on absolutely Mr. Wrong because your biological clock is ticking.
Learn a new skill.
Find a new friend.
Start a new career.
Sometimes, there is no race to be won.
Only a price to be paid for some of life's more hasty decisions.
To terminate your loneliness, reach out to the homeless.
To feed your nurturing instincts, care for the needy.
To fulfill your parenting fantasies, get a puppy (or a cat!)
Don't bring another life into this world for all the wrong reasons.
To make yourself happy, pursue your passions and be the best of what you can be.
Simplify your life. Take away the clutter.
Get rid of destructive elements: abusive friends, nasty habits, and dangerous liaisons.
Don't abandon your responsibilities but don't overdose on duty.
Don't live life recklessly without thought and feeling for your family.
Be true to yourself.
Don't commit when you are not ready.
Don't keep others waiting needlessly.
Go on that trip. Don't postpone it.
Say those words. Don't let the moment pass.
Do what you have to, even at society's scorn.
Write poetry.
Love Deeply.
Walk barefoot.
Dance with wild abandon.
Cry at the movies.
Take care of yourself.
Don't wait for someone to take care of you.
You light up your life.
You drive yourself to your destination.
No one completes you - except YOU.
It is true that life does not get easier with age. It only gets more challenging.
Don't be afraid. Don't lose your capacity to love.
Pursue your passions.
Live your dreams.
Don't lose faith in your God.
Don't grow old. Just grow YOU!

ICE
I received this in my inbox... and thought I'd share it with you guys.
We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in its memory but nobody, other than ourselves, knows which of these numbers belong to our closest family or friends.
If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call. Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency? Hence this "ICE" (In Case of Emergency) Campaign
The concept of "ICE" is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact during emergency situations. As cell phones are carried by the majority of the population, all you need to do is store the number of a contact person or persons who should be contacted during emergency under the name "ICE" ( In Case Of Emergency).
The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he went to the scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones with patients, but they didn't know which number to call. He therefore thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognized name for this purpose. In an emergency situation, Emergency Service personnel and hospital Staff would be able to quickly contact the right person by simply dialing the number you have stored as "ICE."
For more than one contact name simply enter ICE1, ICE2 and ICE3 etc. A great idea that will make a difference!
Let's spread the concept of ICE by storing an ICE number in our Mobile phones today!
ICE will speak for you when you are not able to.

Dating 101
I snatched this from this blog.
- When was your first kiss and where?
I was 21... at home. - When was your first real relationship and how long did it last?
First relationship is a long distance one, I think it lasted about 6 months only. My second relationship is with hubby already. - What age were you allowed to date?
My parents didn't really set any age on this one. - What's the craziest thing you did (for love) when you were a teenager?
Go against my parents wishes. - How long was your longest relationship and what’s the secret?
Hubby and I were together for 2.5 years before we decided to get married. The secret is that he loves me more than I love him [at that time]. - How long did you date before you decided to settle down?
About 4 years of dating I guess. - How did you know he was the ONE?
Because at the lowest point in my life, he never left my side. - Now, at what age will you allow your kids(s) to date?
As soon as they finished college! hahaha... - When it comes to your kids dating, will you be a cool parent or a strict parent?
I've always been the strict parent... but I do hope I can be both when they are more mature. - What piece of advice can you give to your child when they start dating?
To have fun but to know their boundaries.
No news is good news
One would think that moving/living in North America is safe and secure. Crime is everywhere. And sad to say, there is no such thing as a safer place.
Here are some eye opener for you.
Case #1
Arcelie Laoagan left the Philippines for Canada in the hope that she will be able to support and give her 5 children a better life. But on January 17, 2008, she was raped and killed near Franklin C-train station. Story here.
Case #2
Screaming passengers fled in terror from a Greyhound bus as an unidentified fellow passenger suddenly stabbed a man sleeping next to him, decapitated him and waved the severed head at horrified witnesses standing outside. Story here.
Sad thing is, everybody just fled from the bus. If you were one of the 36 passengers in this bus, what would you do? Would you attempt to stop the killer before he beheaded this guy? Or would you run off the bus too? I honestly don't know what I will do. But if I am with my kids, I will definitely and positively fled the scene too.
:: :: :: :: ::
My Jamaican co-worker told me that if case #2 were to happen in Jamaica, the killer wouldn't get off the bus alive. Passengers would have taken action instead of leaving the bus.
My Mexican co-worker said the same thing. Mexicans would have taken the matters into their own hands rather than wait for the court's verdict.
I believe that Filipinos would likewise do the same thing as the Jamaicans and the Mexicans.
But not in North America [Canada and USA]. I don't really know why or how to explain it. Maybe somebody can enlighten me on this one?
:: :: :: :: ::
I met a teacher from LA and she mentioned that their school have metal detectors that each student has to go through everyday. I've seen this in movies but I never thought it was for real. And she said that they find knives and other prohibited items with these teenage kids.
I believe that the Philippines doesn't have these kind of problems with their students. Our children are very much well behave and afraid to break the law.

Migrating [to any other country] definitely has its pros and cons. And it is definitely not a bed of roses!
