Wordless Wednesday #2

Red roses continue to be the most popular way to say "I love you" to someone special. The rich heritage of the red rose has culminated in its modern day image as the lover's rose. They are the definitive symbol for romantic sentiments, representing true love, stronger than thorns. -- SOURCE

Q & A [3]

  • What is something that you never thought you’d do, but you did?
Scuba diving... because I don't know how to swim.

  • What was the spookiest dream you ever had?
That somebody is chasing me and trying to kill me.

  • How do you comfort someone in grief?
Sometimes, the best way is to stand beside that person and give him/her lots of hugs and hold his/her hand.

  • What frustrates you?
When none of my teaching seems to register in the mind of my kids. When repetition also doesn't seem to help.

  • Please tell me that I am not the only one to bare it all in a hotel lobby. Have you had to repack your luggage in order to meet the weight guidelines? And if you absolutely had to remove something, what would you most likely remove?
Never so far. I weigh my luggage before leaving the house/hotel just to make sure that I meet the airline's weight limit.

  • Do you practice yoga? Do you believe in yoga?
    Nope. Never tried it either.

  • If you had to, could you walk on your hands?
    No.

  • So we are half way through September, how is it going for you thus far?
So far so good... kids seems to be enjoying school and doing well in their exams.

  • So, tell us, what make of mobile* phone do you use? Do you keep it up to date? Are you a texter/mobile Internet user? *wink * Do you go over your text allowance?
I used to be a Nokia user. But I need a slim/slick cellphone that will not look bulky when I put them in my pants pocket. So I switched to Motorola. I am more of a texter since its cheaper for me because I am on prepaid only.

  • Nets? Blinds? Curtains? Just glass? What’s your preference?
    Blinds... easier to clean.

These questions are from That's my Answer.

    Wordless Wednesday #1

A bouquet of yellow roses now brings to mind all of the sunny, cheerful feelings of warmth and happiness. In contrast to the romantic meanings attributed to other roses, the yellow rose is purely a symbol for friendship. -- SOURCE

    Tony Melendez

Just thought I'd share this very inspiring video of Tony Melendez. I cried when I saw this video. I don't know what came over me. I should feel lucky and content and happy with what I have right now... some people have less than what I have and they are happy and at peace with themselves.

Please take time to watch this video.

    AINP and PNP

Do you ever want to leave your place [country] right now and move to someplace else? Are you considering migrating/moving to Canada? Well, here is your chance to do just that.

If you have any relatives in Alberta, Canada, you might be able to come here via the Family Stream program. It's a new program which started June 19, 2008. Only a limited number of applications will be accepted under this program.

Eligible relative includes mother/father, sister/brother, aunt/uncle, niece/nephew... sad to say cousins are not included. This relative has to be between the age of 21 to 45 at the time of application and speaks fluent English with at least 3 years of work experience in their field of study.

If you don't have any relatives, you still might be able to go there through Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program [AINP] - Skilled worker stream. Alberta is a growing province and is in need of manpower.

If you don't have relatives in Alberta, Canada but have relatives or friends in Manitoba, Canada, you might also qualify for their Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program [PNP]. Just visit that link, they have numerous stream that you might be qualified for.

So far, these are the only 2 provinces in Canada that have a provincial nominee program. Of course, you need to have a sponsor to qualify for any of these streams. Goodluck!

    Disney here we come!

I love Mickey! I love the thrill and twist and turns of roller coaster rides! I love theme parks! Where else could you go to get all of these? The answer is Orlando, Florida.

We might go sometime next year, but I am already in the process of planning and checking out airfare, Disney World tickets and hotel prices. It is better to do my research on our upcoming trip in advance. So that we can prepare our budget too.

    Dreaming is Free!

I've always wanted a beach house. That is my dream since I was a kid. I don't know how to swim, but I just love the morning breeze of the water. And it's impossible for me to have a beach house where I'm living right now since we are surrounded my mountains.

So owning a unit in the high rise Apogee Condo South Beach is an appealing idea since it has unbelievable views of the ocean, Port of Miami, Fisher Island and downtown.

    On Retirement

Are you ready for retirement? Do you have arragements on who will take care of your elderly? Or who will take care of you when you grow old?

Care Givers of America makes this easy by being the ultimate home health care agency to take care of your love ones. A cost-effective way that provide long term or short term home care.

    Cirque du Soleil

I love broadways. I wish I could afford to watch each and every one of the shows at broadway.

I've heard so much about Cirque du Soleil and I've been wanting to watch this show. But we didn't have that here and I have to go to Las Vegas to watch this show. I always thought that Las Vegas is all about casinos. But no, they do have a lot of shows, theater and even concerts to keep you busy. To see one, check out Las Vegas shows for tickets.
