Linens 'n' Things in the United States and Canada has gone bankrupt as you probably know. Today on the news, Circuit City is on the verge of bankruptcy, they own Best Buy, the Source and Future Shop.
With Christmas coming beware of any purchases at any of these stores especially gift cards, you may lose all your money, like a lot did with the SAAN store gift cards etc.
FYI. Before you do any holiday shopping, or get stuck with any unused or not honorable gift cards, take a look at the list below. I want a massage chair!
My friend bought herself a massage chair worth $6000 about 2 years ago. She hardly uses it anymore because of her hectic schedule. When I tried it, I loved it! As soon as I got home, I told my husband I want one.
My husband found something cheaper on the internet. He found Takemi Select . They are offering up to 75% off as part of their Christmas sale. I really, really wanted one!
Ebay Opens information to Taxman [CRA]
I've always thought that my pro-blogging income is tax free! Hehehe... Well, not for long... once the Government finds a way to get hold of our online's source of income, the happy days are over!
Please read....
"As more Canadians buy and sell online, retailer eBay Canada says it expects to disclose information on its so-called "power sellers" to Canada Revenue Agency this week.
The release of data is in response to a ruling by the Federal Court of Appeal last April.
The court ordered eBay to turn over to the tax agency the names and gross sales figures of Canadians who earn at least $1,000 a month from online sales for three straight months.
In a recent letter to affected customers, eBay said it strenuously objects to the federal requests, but it must comply.
In 2006, Revenue Canada started looking into whether power sellers had reported all their eBay earnings on their 2004 and 2005 income taxes.
It's estimated about 32,000 Canadians make all or part of their income selling on eBay.
Meantime, many more Canadians are shopping online, with 2007 sales rising to $12.8 billion, Statistics Canada says."

Better to be prepared
A friend of mine loves to travel by land. They wouldn’t mind being on the road for practically the whole day. And their kids have gotten used to it that they don’t complain. The only problem with road trips is in finding a mechanic or auto shop in case of car problem. Their last trip on I-15, they made it a habit to remember auto body shops corona, just in case.

Donating casino chips
THIS MAY COME AS A SURPRISE TO THOSE OF YOU NOT LIVING IN LAS VEGAS , BUT THERE ARE MORE CATHOLIC CHURCHES THAN CASINOS.
NOT SURPRISINGLY, SOME WORSHIPERS AT SUNDAY SERVICES WILL GIVE CASINO CHIPS RATHER THAN CASH WHEN THE BASKET IS PASSED.
SINCE THEY GET CHIPS FROM MANY DIFFERENT CASINOS, THE CHURCHES HAVE DEVISED A METHOD TO COLLECT THE OFFERINGS.
THE CHURCHES SEND ALL THEIR COLLECTED CHIPS TO A NEARBY FRANCISCAN MONASTERY FOR SORTING AND THEN THE CHIPS ARE TAKEN TO THE CASINOS OF ORIGIN AND CASHED IN.
THIS IS DONE BY THE CHIP MONKS.
YOU DIDN'T EVEN SEE IT COMING DID YOU? LOL!
