Smell of hotels

The Riviera, Las Vegas

My kids love the idea of staying at a hotel for a night. They wished that we could do it every week. I wish so too, but we just can't afford it. We go on road trips, but it's always just for the day.

Talent at drawing

My daughter loves to draw! I've been looking for a drawing school for her, but just couldn't find one that is close by. Instead, I brought her a drawing book so she can learn some strokes from it... then I got her a drawing notebook and told her to date here drawings. She can basically imitate what she sees. No tracing, just simply following the strokes that she sees... Maybe time will come when I could find a school for her to develop this talent of hers.

Airport security

I am starting to hate airport security. I hate the fact that they change the rules every so often. It gets confusing. I know its for the safety of the passengers but what I find confusing is that sometimes it's the airline crews [pilots and attendants] who gives the screening officers the attitude and problem! Come on, airline crews should appreciate it more than the traveling public. Right?

Word of advice: Before you travel, check out the rules and regulations on luggage allowances, new restrictions, and what you can and cannot carry with you. It helps to pack smart to avoid the hassle of being searched and screened.

What to do?

My car is almost 8 years old. I make sure that I bring it to the dealer regularly for maintenance and though it still runs smoothly, and fully paid for, I've been wanting to replace it. I've always wanted an SUV, but just thinking about having to pay monthly for the next 5 years is the problem. I don't know if it is the right time to invest in another car when my car right now is still very much reliable and doesn't give me any trouble. What do you think? Should I get a new one or defer it as much as I could?
