I love weddings!

Ever since I saw the movie of Jennifer Lopez in the Wedding planner, I have always wanted to be one. I think that would be a dream job for me since I love weddings. I even cry at my friends' wedding. Call me a hopeless romantic. I so love this movie!

When we decided to get married, with no family around me, I was in charge of everything. And I mean everything! Hubby was nice enough to give in to everything that I wanted. From choosing the church and reception, the style of our wedding cake and ice carving, flower arrangements, the rings, my gown and the entourage's gown and motif, getting all the wedding accessories in order, the giveaways, cutting down the guest lists three times, preparing and sending out the invitations... we didn't have a problem at all. Well, cutting down the guest list was the hardest part because of his extended family!

If only it is possible to get married every year to the same guy, I would do it! Just for the sake of getting married again and again and again!

On Office Politics

How do you get rid of office politics? Is it even remotely possible to get rid of it?

I don't want to really say this, but I find that the company that I worked for, the top management that is, is a bit racist when it comes to dealing with their employees. A certain action should have a certain consequence/punishment... but that one reaction can have different consequence/punishment depending on who is involve. Is that fair at all?

And if we try to reason with them, they suddenly lost their hearing. They don't even sound logical anymore. They just need to put the blame on somebody and they need to do it as soon as possible. And the case is closed and they moved on to their next victim.

Friday the 13th

That's today! Are you afraid to do something today thinking that you might get bad luck? Well some say it might bring you good luck too, what do you think?

I never believe in these things, but one can never be too careful too. I am just glad that none of our birthdays or anniversary falls on the 13th.

Did you know that Friday the 13th normally would come 3 times a year? For 2009, that's last February and March and today. The next year to have three Friday the 13th dates will be 2012.

The World is on Sale with British Airways

My best friends since high school have been my best friends till now. True friendships are really hard to find. We may be world's apart, but the bond is always there. And when we do see each other, it was like we were never apart. They know me inside out.

Moving to another country is hard. I have to find new friends. I met lots of them, but to find another best friend, that is like looking for a needle in a haystack. But I can say that after years of searching, I finally found my circle of friends. Friends, who are there for me, anywhere, anytime of the day.

Christmas is just around the corner, and both of my best friends are going home for the holidays! I wish I could go with them. I wish I could go on a vacation too! But the fare is just way too expensive for my family to go home for the holiday. It would be too selfish of me to go by myself. It's either we all go or none of us go.

Browsing through the internet, I find that the world is on sale with British Airways. They've really got a very good November "world sale" in USA and Canada, and also to London, Middle East, India and Africa.

The Family Stone

Have you seen this movie? I find it bizarre that people can just hop from one brother to the next. And how people could fall in love in just a matter of few hours of spending time together. Really weird!

I'm very conservative. I believe in long courtship and I never believed in love at first sight.

Hubby and I has been friends for 5 years before we even realized that we love each other... and then another 4 years before we decided it's time to get married and have our own family.

That's Entertainment

Whenever I go to my friends house, it always amazes me that a household, on average, would have a TV in every room. That's 2-4 TV in one household. I think I'm the only one who got just one TV in our household.

So when I have friends over, the kids would normally be in front of the TV, and the adults end up not having a TV to watch except from my 13" laptop. That's no way to entertain my friends, right?

Oh well... hopefully, we could afford to buy another TV soon...

BTW, you might want to buy the 2009 Entertainment Book, for a good price, you will get tons of coupons, huge savings, that you can use throughout the year.

On being polite

I hate people who keeps on saying "yes" and then not show up! Worst, not even a phone call to say "sorry, can't make it tonight." Why are people like that? They are so inconsiderate of the people who invited them. You are allowed to say "no" you know? Nobody's going to force you to do something that you don't want to do. You don't even have to give an excuse. Just say "no, I will not be able to make it on that day." It's as simple as that!

If you are like that, then let me tell you this -- you will end up not being invited to any gathering/parties for the rest of your life! Or if I'm the host, I will never include you in my guest list - ever!

Gotta get ready, going to have lunch with some friends... we'll see who said "yes" and then not show up [again]...
